The Division of Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Washington Tacoma, School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences is searching for a part-time Chemistry lecturer to teach Fall quarter 2017 for Preparation for General Chemistry (TESC 139). The course is a 3-credit class intended to prepare students to take the General Chemistry sequence of courses. The class is scheduled for Tuesdays or Thursdays 12:50-2:55PM. Compensation is $3,000.

Course Description:
T CHEM 139 Preparation for General Chemistry (3)
Introduces nomenclature, stoichiometry, and basic atomic structure to provide a solid foundation for the study of chemistry. Emphasizes practical quantitative skills and practice in calculations required for success in T CHEM 142. Strongly recommended before T CHEM 142 for students without high school chemistry or equivalent within five years.
